Nichols founded Cat Cay Yachts after spending 15 years designing and manufacturing mega yachts for the rich and famous. Nichols built 14 mega yachts under the highly recognized name of Trident Shipworks. The yachts averaged over 130 feet in length and had a selling prices in exces of $15 million.
Nichols has an impressive yachting pedigree. He is a long-term member of the New York Yacht Club and has participated in two Americas Cup Syndicates. He has also commissioned, designed, manufactured and successfully raced in many renowned sailing competitions, including the Admirals Cup Competition and the International Class A Racing Association venues.
His lifelong dedication to boats, yachting and the sea makes him uniquely qualified to lead Cat Cay Yachts. He has spent five years designing, engineering, and perfecting the Cat Cay 53. After extensive sea trials on multiple hulls to prove the yachts design and theory, Nichols commissioned the manufacturing and production of this exceptional yacht to New England Boatworks, Inc.
He will oversee all design and manufacturing, as well as lend his expertise to sales and delivery. Only yachts of the highest possible quality are produced, ensuring that all customers receive service and performance beyond expectations. |
