The Cat Cay 57 and Newport 57 are built with the finest composite materials including Kevlar, S-Glass, and Carbon Fiber with a variety of exotic cores. Vacuum Bagging is employed in all stages of construction - with this process the optimum ratio of resin to glass is achieved and there is a 100% penetration of the materials. All principle components and structures are then reinforced with Carbon Fiber. Nothing but the finest materials and craftsmanship.
The entire yacht is built using Epoxy Resins. Epoxy is 400% stronger than the resins used in production yachts. There is an added benefit in that epoxy is a GREEN product and as such it does not release harmful VOC's into the atmosphere.
The philosophy of only using the finest materials is carried out in the systems as well with redundant HVAC, Black Water, Potable Water, and safety systems.
Propulsion of Military grade components by SeaFury coupled to Caterpillar C-18 ACERT Diesels of 1,150 HP each.
